Hot bikes, hot bodies and hot temperatures can all be expected in high numbers at the Wasaga Beach Motorcycle Rally. This rally is the largest annual rally in Canada, and for good reason. Situated lake-side on the stunning Georgian Bay in Southern Ontario, the event is held at the longest freshwater beach on planet earth. Wasaga beach is kissed by white sand for over 14 kilometers and for the motorcycle rally they aim to pack it with fun, entertainment and trade booths to keep you both entertained and in the know.
What To Expect
It’s not the topless drag racing and biker-gang studded line-up of the infamous American biker rallies, this is quality Canadian entertainment and a social side to get your biker fix. The three-day-weekend hosts a number of musical acts including what, in the past, has resembled a real, live KISS performance. Onsite is a whole host of vendors keeping you in the know of what’s new, and what you might want to add to your motorcycle kit wish list. Everything from parts that can be bolted on right at the booth, to demos and unrelated, timed, chainsaw championships. If that doesn’t sound like an authentic Canadian afternoon, then I don’t know what does.
Choose Your Ride
Not just an eye-catching event, you can certainly hop on your wheels are ride too. Events range from the classic Mayors Ride, and event that is led by probably the coolest Mayor in motorcycle history. The Mayors Ride is a charity event that takes you through Ontario’s beautiful Blue Mountains, as well as the Grey/Bruce areas. The registration fee includes a lunch and some swanky take-home souvenirs, with all proceeds going towards the Veterans in the Wounded Warriors Program.
If your more into s-curves than straight cruising, you might give The Twisty Ride a go. Headed up by Canada’s own superbike racer, Kris Garvie, you are guided through some pristine landscapes that are better enjoyed at a Sunday pace, than a superbike pace. He takes the charitable ride through the small riverside area of Creemore and the quaint area of Terra Nova. Your registration will include a VIP event, meal, and some great memorabilia.
A little something for the ladies only, the aptly named, Heels On Wheels event is sure to exercise your estrogen muscles. Come in proper riding gear or take the name literally and wear the worst possible shoes for riding imaginable, either way it’s a must-do event for the female biker. This has the First Lady of Wasaga leading the pack, and zips its way past some photo-worthy spots in the Ontario countryside. It’s a no-charge event, gaining some traction with the biker-babes crowd.

A Canadian Classic
As far as rallies go, there is not another like it anywhere. You can be seen rapping pipes with your leather-bound Mayor, ride the roads with a real racer, and probably even get a photo with some of the Royal Canadian Mounties who take the opportunity to trade in their usual horse for an iron horse while they keep an eye on the festivities.
Show and shines, poker runs, and all things beach life can be found at the shores of one of Canada’s favorite summer gems. Check out this largest annual event at the Wasaga Beach Motorcycle Rally to get your festival fix and motorcycle mayhem on each summer.
