A relatively newcomer to the world of motorcycles, Victory was born out of research and a need for business diversification. The Polaris company was looking to expand its line and spent a number of years digging into the psyche of motorcyle enthusiasts; trying to uncover motivating sales features of motorcycle purchasers to decide on where to focus their efforts. With all the pertinant information in hand, they set out to compete directly with the bigger bikes in the Harley Davidson line by producing an entirely American made motorcycle. By 1998 they finally unveiled the Victory V92C. A massive 1507cc, counterbalanced V-twin engine, the biggest displacement engine offered in the cruiser marketplace at the time. Naturally this set off a ripple effect in the industry where a competitive one ‘up-manship’ would continue, with the goal of producing larger and larger engines.

Featured here is one of the latest in creative Victory designs, the 2017 Cross Country in a stunning Havasu red. Giving it the red carpet look that you ride on, rather than the one you walk down. This glamorous beauty eclipses the looks of other motorcycles in its class.  To keep with the ‘bigger is better’ American attitude they started with, the Cross Country is fitted with a behemoth 1704cc engine that puts out 92HP and 109FT-LBS of torque from its four-stroke, 50 degree, V-twin. It holds its own just fine on the freeway with a six-speed constant mesh transmission and a carbon fiber reinforced belt for the drive. A couple of featured extras include a custom derby and cam cover, crafted by the Bad Dog Custom Company out of the UK. As well as a custom clutch arm cover designed by the Witchdoctor’s, black fusion grips and foot pegs by the famous Arlen Ness company. You can check some installation videos below.
